ABSTRACT
The media categorizes people in society by dividing them into groups. This situation, referred to as the target audience, is also used extensively in advertisements. With the understanding that there is no advertisement without a clear target audience, advertising strategies are determined for the expectations and characteristics of the target audience, especially by making age distinction. Gender roles are also reflected in television commercials. Advertisements reach large masses by frequently using gender roles and stereotypes and reinforce these stereotypes. Advertisements are of great importance in transforming gender stereotypes. Advertising campaigns that emphasize gender equality have the potential to change social norms and build a more egalitarian society. With the impact of initiatives such as the Unstereotype Alliance Platform, the number of advertisements trying to change gender perceptions has increased. Studies examining the perspectives of viewers from different generations on advertisements prepared with this new approach are limited. Considering the increase in the elderly population in the world, it is possible to say that many products are marketed by appealing to the elderly in advertisements. In this study, it will be tried to reveal how the representation of the elderly in advertisements is perceived by the elderly by taking gender into consideration with the interview technique. The study was conducted using the interview technique from qualitative methods. Within the framework of the research, in-depth interviews were conducted with 8 participants belonging to the Baby Boomer generation (born between 1946-1964) using a structured interview technique. The findings of the study were analyzed and various suggestions were presented. As a result of the study, the participants positively evaluated the fact that men and women in the commercial support each other in household chores. All participants stated that they found the advertisement impressive. Participants stated that they attach importance to the domestic cooperation and sacrifice in the advertisement. In line with these results, it can be suggested that advertisers and advertising agencies should include more advertisements that reflect the various aspects and rich experiences of the lives of older individuals.

ÖZ
Medya toplumda insanları gruplara ayırarak kategorize etmektedir. Hedef kitle olarak ifade edilen bu durum reklamlarda da yoğun bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Hedef kitlesi belli olmayan reklam olmaz anlayışıyla özellikle yaş ayrımı yapılarak hedef kitlenin beklentilerine ve özelliklerine yönelik reklam stratejileri belirlenmektedir. Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri, televizyon reklamlarına da yansımaktadır. Reklamlar, cinsiyet rolleri ile kalıp yargıları sıklıkla kullanarak geniş kitlelere ulaşmakta ve bu kalıp yargıları güçlendirmektedir. Reklamların toplumsal cinsiyet kalıp yargılarını dönüştürmedeki önemi büyüktür. Cinsiyet eşitliğine vurgu yapan reklam kampanyaları, toplumsal normları değiştirme ve daha eşitlikçi bir toplum inşa etme potansiyeline sahiptir. Reklamlarda Kalıp Yargıları Yıkma İttifakı (Unstereotype Alliance Platform) gibi girişimlerin etkisiyle toplumsal cinsiyet algılarını değiştirmeye çalışan reklamların da sayısı artmıştır. Bu yeni yaklaşımla hazırlanan reklamlara farklı kuşaklardan izleyicilerin bakış açılarını inceleyen çalışmaların sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir. Dünyada yaşlı nüfusunun arttığı göz önüne alındığında reklamlarda yaşlı kesime hitap edilerek birçok ürünün pazarlandığı söylemek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada toplumsal cinsiyet dikkat alınarak reklamlarda yaşlı temsilinin yaşlı kesimde nasıl algılandığı görüşme tekniği ile ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır. Çalışma nitel yöntemlerden görüşme tekniği kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma çerçevesinde Baby Boomer kuşağına mensup (1946-1964 arası doğumlu) 8 katılımcı ile yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile derinlemesine görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulguları analiz edilmiş ve çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda katılımcılar, reklam filminde yer alan kadın ve erkeğin ev işlerinde birbirine destek olmalarını olumlu değerlendirmiştir. Tüm katılımcılar reklamı etkileyici bulduklarını belirtmişlerdir. Katılımcılar reklamda yer alan aile içi yardımlaşma ve fedakârlığı önemsediklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda reklam verenlerin ve reklam ajanslarının yaşlı bireylerin hayatlarının çeşitli yönlerini ve zengin deneyimlerini yansıtan daha fazla reklama yer vermeleri önerilebilir.

ABSTRACT
There are many vlogger motorcycle riders who post their travel diaries and their adventurous journeys by posting videos, writing blog posts or using both methods. Vlogger is short for “Video-logger”. “Video-logger” means the person who creates videos. Vloggers, although they do the same job as bloggers, prefer to use cameras instead of writing. In terms of content producers, Youtube is among the popular Vlog channels. In this sense, motorcycle riders who are loyal followers can share their journey images with many viewers around the world. Traveling by motorcycle is considered a part of adventure tourism is seen as a type that men can do more comfortably because it requires intense effort both physically and psychologically. Female motorcycle riders, who have shared their travel adventures through videos and written content in recent years, reveal that this activity is not a job specific to men, with high subscription numbers and viewing rates on Youtube. In this study; by examining the content produced on Youtube by adventurous female motorcycle drivers who go on adventurous journeys with their motorcycles and the comments made on these contents, the research was carried out with the method of netrography on the roles of these drivers in combating gender stereotypes. Within the scope of the study, some videos were selected from Itchy Boots and On Her Bike channels, taking into account the number of comments they received during their broadcasts. When the comments are analyzed, those who follow both YouTube channels; It is understood that it can be studied in two groups: those who praise their strength, endurance, determination and courage, and those who feel respect and admiration - those who see him as a source of inspiration. In the study it was seen that the comments containing appreciation and admiration for the challenges of both drivers were dominant. Among the comments; words of courage, perseverance, determination, female power, being a source of inspiration came to the fore. It can be stated that female motorcycle drivers have made signifacant progress in combationg gender stereotypes through the visual and written content they publish.

ÖZ
Seyahat günlüklerini ve yaşadıkları maceralı yolculuklarını video yayınlayarak, blog yazıları yazarak ya da her iki yöntemi de kullanarak yayınlayan pek çok vlogger motosiklet sürücüsü bulunmaktadır. Vlogger, “Video-logger” kelimesinin kısaltılmış halidir. “Video-logger” ise, videolar oluşturan kişi manasına gelmektedir. Vlogger’lar; Blogger’lar ile aynı işi yapmalarına karşın yazmak yerine kamera kullanmayı tercih etmektedirler. İçerik üreticileri açısından Youtube popüler Vlog kanalları arasında yer almaktadır. Bu anlamda sadık takipçileri olan motosiklet sürücüleri yolculuk görüntülerini dünya çapında pek çok izleyici ile paylaşabilmektedirler. Macera turizminin sert turizm kısmı içinde yer alan motosiklet ile seyahat hem fiziksel hem de psikolojik olarak yoğun çaba gerektirmesi nedeniyle erkeklerin daha rahat yapabilecekleri bir tür olarak görülmektedir. Son yıllarda seyahat maceralarını paylaşan kadın motosiklet sürücüleri Youtube’da yüksek abonelik sayıları ve izlenme oranlarıyla bu aktivitenin erkeklere özgü bir iş olmadığını ortaya koymaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada; motosikletleriyle maceralı yolculuklara çıkan maceraperest kadın motosiklet sürücülerinin Youtube’da ürettikleri içerikler ve bu içeriklere yapılan yorumlar incelenerek söz konusu sürücülerin toplumsal cinsiyet kalıp yargıları ile mücadelede üstlendikleri roller üzerine nitel analiz yöntemlerinden netnografya tekniğiyle bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında Itchy Boots ve On Her Bike kanallarından yayınlandıkları dönemlerde aldıkları yorum sayıları göz önünde bulundurularak birer adet video seçilmiştir. Yorumlar incelendiğinde her iki Youtube kanalını takip edenlerin; güç, dayanıklılık, azim ve cesaretine övgü yapanlar ve saygı ve hayranlık duyanlar-ilham kaynağı olarak görenler olmak üzere iki grupta incelenebileceği anlaşılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmada her iki sürücünün zorluklara meydan okumalarına yönelik takdir ve hayranlık içeren yorumların ağırlıkta olduğu görülmüştür. Yorumlar arasında; cesaret, azim, kararlılık, kadın gücü, ilham kaynağı olma kelimeleri ön plana çıkmıştır. Kadın motosiklet sürücülerinin yayınladıkları görsel ve yazılı içeriklerle toplumsal cinsiyet kalıp yargıları ile mücadelede önemli bir yol kat ettikleri ifade edilebilir.

ABSTRACT
In classical cinema, which is called mainstream cinema and is mostly in a patriarchal structure, women’s role are designed in accordance with the gender stereotypes. This situation appears both in the fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty” and in the film-adapted version of this fairy tale. In contrast, the film Maleficent deconstructs this tale and holds the female characters in solidarity, the Sorcerer Queen and the kind-hearted princess who are positioned at two opposite poles in the tale. Female characters do not struggle with each other, but with male characters who represent the patriarchy. In this direction, Maleficent requires to be considered from a feminist perspective. But bringing the unity of women and nature to the forefront and fighting the patriarch (the king in the film) makes it possible to reduce the film to ecofeminism. In this study, scenes, characters, fiction, themes and images in the film are analyzed with a feminist methodology with a descriptive and critical analysis, and common findings against the relationship between women and nature and patriarchy are evaluated. Therefore, Malefiz which was first shown in 2014 and the second series, Malefiz:The Power of Evil in 2019, were analyzed together. The second series is a continuation of the movie and the main characters have not changed. Therefore, it has been found that the film, which is evaluated in an ecofeminist context, contains various patriarchal, feminist and ecofeminist themes and images. Based on descriptive analysis, this qualitative study analyzed ecofeminist themes and images in the identified titles. At the end of the study it is hoped that this study will contribute to the literature of feminist and cinema studies.

ÖZ
Ana akım sinema olarak adlandırılan ve çoğunlukla ataerkil bir yapılanma içerisinde olan klasik sinemada kadınlara, çoğunlukla toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine göre karakterler biçilmiştir. Bu durum hem “Uyuyan Güzel” masalında hem de bu masalın filme uyarlanmış versiyonunda karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bunun aksine Malefiz filmi, bu masalı yapı söküme tabi tutarak iki zıt kutupta konumlandırılmış kadın karakterleri, büyücü kraliçe ve iyi kalpli prensesi gibi, dayanışma içinde sunmaktadır. Söz konusu filmde, kadın karakterler birbiriyle değil, patriyarkayı temsil eden erkek karakterlerle mücadeleye girerler. Bu açıdan Malefiz filmi, feminist perspektiften ele alınabilir. Öte yandan kadın ve doğa birlikteliğinin ön plana çıkarılması ve patriyarka (filmde kral) ile mücadele edilmesi, filmin ekofeminizme indirgenmesi için gerekli koşulları sağlar. Bu çalışmada, betimsel ve eleştirel bir analizle filmdeki kurgu, sahneler, karakterler, temalar ve imgeler feminist bir yöntembilimle çözümlenmekte ve kadın-doğa ilişkisine dair bulgular eğerlendirilmektedir. "Malefiz" filminin 2014 yılında ilk gösterime giren serisi ile 2019 yılında gösterime giren "Malefiz:Kötülüğün Gücü" adlı ikinci serisi birbiriyle bağıntılandırılarak incelenmiştir. Ekofeminist bağlamda değerlendirilen filmin içinde çeşitli ataerkil, feminist ve ekofeminist temalar ve imgeler bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Betimsel analize dayalı olan bu nitel çalışmada, filmlerdeki ekofeminist temalar ve imgeler çözümlemiştir. Sonuç olarak bu çalışmanın hem feminist çalışmalara hem de sinema çalışmalarına katkı sunması beklenmektedir.

ABSTRACT
Gender places individuals in certain positions in binary categories as men and women, and limits them accordingly. The individual who is surrounded by the pattern of gender can not behave differently out of this position and finds one self at the target of the sexist attitude. Nietzsche’s superhuman doctrine tells us that human beings should isolate themselves from the bonds of various positions, such as gender imposed by society upon human beings, and go beyond them. This study has examined Nietzsche’s superhuman doctrine in the model of Automata film and in the context of gender. The scope of this study is to analyse the film of Automata together with Nietzsche’s superhuman doctrine and to analyse the transition of the superhuman to a society beyond gender via various metaphors in the film. Nietzsche’s theory of reaching the level of superhuman by self-transcendence of human being has been considered together with self-altered machines in the film to get rid of the service to people and to establish a new order of their own. The adaptation of Nietzsche’s superhuman doctrine to this film is because the message carried by the film coincides with the superhuman doctrine. It is the message that modern human beings go beyond the boundaries of societies by having a genderless and totally different identity and overcoming all values. This is identified with Nietzsche’s superhuman doctrine in which he defines the human beings’ purification of social values and returning the essence. Descriptive analysis has been used to analyse the film in the context of the Nietzsche’s philosophy. The characters and metaphors in the film were analysed in accordance with the Nietzsche’s philosophy and a descriptive study has been conducted. The aim of the study is to show that the person who survived the gender borders can reach the level of the Nietzsche’s superhuman level and can be individually and socially freed such as in Automata. The general framework of the study is that automata are produced according to the female and male sex characteristics but they desire to create a society far from human beings and humanity and to be free. In this context, the automata in the film are thought to be like modern people today.Automata which are considered to be the superhumans to be achieved, are far from the gender context, literally demoralized by destruction of gender boundaries, feeling free and acquiring an intrinsic entity.

Toplumsal cinsiyet, bireyleri kadın ve erkek olarak ikili kategoriler içinde belirli konumlara yerleştirir ve onları bu şekilde sınırlandırır. Toplumsal cinsiyet örüntüsüyle sarmalanan birey, bu konumdan farklı davranamaz ve kendini sürekli cinsiyetçi tavrın hedefinde bulur. Nietzsche’nin üstinsan öğretisi toplumun insana dayattığı cinsiyet gibi çeşitli olguların bağlarından insanların kendilerini soyutlamasını ve bunları aşmalarını anlatır. Bu çalışma Nietzsche’nin üstinsan öğretisini Automata filmi örnekleminde ve toplumsal cinsiyet bağlamında incelemiştir. Automata filmini üstinsan öğretisi ile beraber çözümlemek ve üstinsanın toplumsal cinsiyetin ötesinde bir topluma geçişini filmdeki çeşitli metaforlarla çözümlemek bu çalışmanın kapsamını oluşturur. Filmdeki otomatların kendilerini başkalaştırarak insanların hizmetinden çıkmaları ve kendilerine ait yeni bir düzen kurma çabaları ile Nietzsche’nin insanın kendini aşarak üstinsan mertebesine ulaşma teorisi birlikte düşünülmüştür. Nietzsche’nin üstinsan öğretisinin bu filme uyarlanmasının sebebi filmin taşıdığı mesajın üstinsan öğretisiyle uyuşmasıdır. Bu mesaj, modern insanın içinde bulunduğu sınırlardan cinsiyetsiz, bambaşka bir kimlikle çıkıp tüm değerleri alt üst ederek toplumsal cinsiyet sınırlarının ötesine geçmesidir. Bu Nietzsche’nin üstinsan olarak tanımladığı insanın kendini toplumun değerlerinden arındırarak kendi özüne dönmesiyle özdeşleştirilmiştir. Filmin Nietzsche felsefesi ile çözümlenmesinde betimsel çözümleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Filmdeki karakterler ve metaforlar Nietzsche felsefiyle uyumlu bir şekilde çözümlenerek betimsel bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı Automata filmi örnekleminde cinsiyetçi sınırlardan kurtulan insanın filmdeki otomatlar gibi Nietzsche’nin üstinsan mertebesine ulaşabileceğini, kendi içinde ve toplumda özgürleşebileceğini ortaya koymaktır. Otomatların da dişilik ve erkeksilik cinsiyet özelliklerine göre üretildiği fakat onların insanlardan ve insani özelliklerden ırak bir düzen oluşturma ve bağımsızlaşma istekleri çalışmanın genel çerçevesini oluşturmaktadır. Bu çerçevede filmdeki otomatlar günümüzün modern insanına benzetilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen üstinsan olarak kabul edilen otomatlar, toplumsal cinsiyet sınırlarından kurtularak, kendini özgür hissederek ve gerçek bir varlık özü edinerek kelimenin tam anlamıyla demoralize edilmiş toplumsal cinsiyet bağlamından uzaktır.
